CASAnova is a building performance and energy analysis application developed by the Building Physics & Solar Energy Group (Fachgebiet Bauphysik & Solarenergie) at the University of Siegen. It is designed for early-stage design and education, enabling quick, transparent assessments of a building’s thermal behavior and annual energy demand. Users can explore how envelope properties, ventilation and infiltration, internal loads, shading, and solar gains interact with local climate to shape heating and cooling needs and indoor comfort.
With an approachable interface and clear, physics-based models, CASAnova supports parametric comparisons, scenario testing, and sensitivity analyses—helping architects, engineers, and students make well-founded decisions for new construction and retrofits. Typical outputs include time-series and aggregated energy balances that reveal where and when energy is used or saved. By focusing on essentials and making assumptions explicit, CASAnova shortens feedback loops between ideas and performance, serving as a practical companion to detailed simulation tools and compliance workflows.
CASAnova is developed by Fachgebiet Bauphysik & Solarenergie and is used by 2 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 2.0, 3.2 and 3.3. The names of program executable files are CASAnova.exe, Config.exe.
